By using outwithkidz.co.za ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms occasionally; the "last updated" date will reflect any change.
1. What the site is
Out With Kidz is an editorial directory of kid-friendly venues across South Africa. It is provided free of charge as a planning aid for parents, guardians and visitors. The site does not handle bookings or payments — any transaction with a venue is between you and that venue.
2. Accuracy disclaimer
We make a reasonable effort to keep listings accurate, but information about real-world venues changes constantly: opening hours shift, prices change, places close, ownership changes. We cannot guarantee that any listing is current, complete, or correct at any given moment.
Always confirm critical details — opening hours, age restrictions, prices, accessibility — directly with the venue before you travel. Out With Kidz is not responsible for any cost, inconvenience, injury or loss arising from reliance on information published on the site.
3. Safety
"Kid-friendly" is a guidance label, not a safety guarantee. Conditions at outdoor venues (beaches, hikes, parks, dams) can change quickly. Adult supervision and your own judgement remain your responsibility at all times. The Out With Kidz team has not personally inspected every venue and does not certify any venue as safe.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and in good faith. You will not:
- Submit content that is false, defamatory, abusive, threatening or designed to harass.
- Attempt to break, scrape, overload or otherwise interfere with the site or its infrastructure.
- Use the site or its content for unsolicited bulk communication or commercial scraping without our written consent.
- Misrepresent your identity, including by submitting venue listings or reports under a false name.
We reserve the right to remove any submission and to block access from any IP we reasonably believe is being misused.
5. Submissions you make
When you suggest a venue, file a report, or send us a message, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. You grant Out With Kidz a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit and publish that information on the site, with attribution where appropriate. You can ask us to remove a submission you made by contacting us.
6. Intellectual property
The Out With Kidz name, logo, original written descriptions, guides and editorial content are © Out With Kidz and protected under South African copyright law. You may link to any page on the site freely. You may quote short extracts (up to ~50 words) for review, commentary or news purposes with a clear credit and link back. Any larger reproduction requires written permission.
Where we display content from third parties (venue logos, owner-supplied photos, map tiles from OpenStreetMap, etc.), the rights remain with the original owners.
7. Third-party links
The site links to external websites (venue websites, social media, government tourism sites, etc.). We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy or availability.
8. Advertising
The site may display advertising (including via Google AdSense) to support its operation. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. The presence of an ad next to a listing does not imply any endorsement, partnership or paid placement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Out With Kidz, its operators and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
10. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
